This is a poster for a recent spoken word/sound composition performance. The poet Tobin Johnston and musician Mckenzie Stubbert performed works inspired by their trip to New York last year. They also opened the night with a gallery show of photography taken on the trip. The man in this photo became very hostile after his picture was taken and the two artist's had to make a hasty exit. In this image he seems to at once posses a poet's heart and a hint of brutality... with a bullet. The typeface is something I've been working on.
