Broken Heroes

Check out the work of Anthony Lister. He does brilliant, broken and abstracted figural work. Many of his paintings focus on super hereos. His fractured renderings places them as imperfect and exaggerated, post-post-modern opposites to how they were conceived- as symbols of modernist humanism.
